ADSL Disconnects

My connection is okay, but the only problem I seem to have is being disconnected all of a sudden after varied periods of time. I have one of those ADSL Direct Access PPPoA (specifically Bellsouth) ones that do not require a network card of something of that sort (it connects to the net kind of like a dial-up modem). A lot of the time I'll be web browsing or something and suddenly it disconnects on me. I have no idea why. I have the MTU currently set to 1500, but whenever I use 1492, it seems to disconnect a lot.
I seem to get less disconnects with 1500. So pretty much I have MTU: 1500, MSS: 0, RWIN: 0, and NDI Cache Size: 0.
Any ideas if it my be the MTU settings? or something else?
Any help in solving this is greatly appreciated!
If I need to post more info on my settings, let me know.

Your MTU should be 1500, 1492 is only for PPPoE.. not PPPoA..

Yes that would be nice, please take the analyzer test and post your results. Please edit out your IP Address. Thank you.

Do you think that MTU settings and stuff like that have to do with if you DSL my disconnect all of a sudden or not?
Here's what I got using Analyzer:
TCP options string = 020405b40103030001010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 11680
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 11680
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 467.2 kbps (58.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 186.88 kbps (23.36 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 47 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
The highest ispeed will let me go for RWIN is 8x...... anyone know another good program like ispeed I can get for
free ??

however I use 1496 on my machine

and I am on cable.........it works better for me this way
TCP options string = 020405b00103030301010402
MTU = 1496
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1456
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1456, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = (I don't think so)
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = (I don't think so)
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
512512 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256256 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128128 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64064 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 17952 kbps (fast KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 7180.8 kbps (fast KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 53 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

it's OK I am gonna try some new ones, changing a few things in and out trying for better speeds, doubt it will make much difference, but worth a try

No problem. Hey I just tried to add you to my contact list on ICQ... I sent you a request to let me add you... hehe. Just letting you know.
