Hi everyone.....new guy here. Been trying out your tips and tricks. Wondered if i was doing ok with my @home connection. Im running ME.

TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 373360
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 46670
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 14934.4 kbps (1866.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5973.76 kbps (746.72 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF

Time to live left = 54 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Ive been trying diff settings and downloading the star wars demo from happypuppy.com. Im getting around 700 to 800 KB/sec with download accelerator. I think its pretty good....but i would still like to do better if possible. You guys seem to know your **** so i figured if anyone can help me it would be here..thanks

You need to turn MTU Discorvey on, In this program it's called Path MTU Discovery, do this:
Download lastest version of Dr. TCP from http://www.dslreports.com/front/drtcp.html
This is just a shortcut to your registry.
1.) Select your adapter
2.) Window Scaling- Yes
3.) Time stamping - No
4.) Selective Acks - Yes
5.) Path MTU Discovery - Yes
6.) Max Duplicate ACKS - 3
7.) TTL - 32 -64 (Nothing to do with speed)
8.) Blank boxes only mean default value is being used
9.) Do not change numbers in these boxes unless you know what you are doing. :)

Just for the heck of it you might raise RWIN to 373760 in Dr. TCP, if you don't like it, switch back :)
