To strart off here are my settings.

TCP options string = 020405b40103030301010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 50 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

My question is when I do a video stream @ 300k it buffers to 298k and is steady. But when I stream @ 750k (filmspeed.com)it plays for a while then rebuffers @ 419k. Is there anything I can do to keep it from dropping so low? Also the stream turns into a slide show. I'm on Windows Me, 128MB RAM, 2-way Cable. rbtweak@adelphia.net :mad:

I did but it slowed down my web page loading. At my old setting I was zipping through web pages but getting nowhere on downloads. My downloads would start off around 350K +/- then by the end drop as low as 21.5K (yuck!) sometimes. That's not on large downloads either. :rolleyes: rbtweak@adelphia.net
