Bad Hit Registration Help!

Hi,

I play CS 1.6 actively. In addition to that, I play many FPS games.

But, I am in need for help about "bad hit registration" in CS 1.6.

Think about it, you encounter the same problem again and again in one game. For a long time, I've been trying many cfgs, and many so-called rc settings to no avail. Lastly, I tried the settings of n1kobg. It helped a little but not enough.

I would like you to give me the best setting for cope with "bad hit registration" for all FPS games.

It is not a simple fix.. This is usually related to ping/latency, what does your traceroute to the server look like?


There are a number of gaming tweaks, but they are all dependent on the quality of the line your ISP provides.

You can determine where the latency is increasing, in other words if it is at your premises, close to you (your ISP), or closer to the destination (the game server). This will help you understand the issue better.

Also, make any type of "packet coalescing" is turned off on your end.

The best thing you can do is to get PingPlotter and follow the path to the server, if there are ISP servers in between that show packet loss, you will have a bigger problem. Mostly people within villages who are routed through different distributors are affected.

Most of the Internet providers will not help, actually all Internet providers will not provide any help. Because everything else is associated with higher costs. A possible way out here would only be a company connection.

Hitreg problem is mostly due to poor power / voltage quality and internet quality.

Note some routers give low priority to ICMP pings though, so those may get dropped first. TCP traffic shouldn't though, not sure which one Ping Plotter uses.

How are you?

It is difficult to say whether the packages are being discarded because of the frequency of demand, which can be because of.

But I have problems with ISP hops on several servers and my Internet provider has confirmed that there is an error on the distributor, but they did not solve the problem.
And they won't fix the bug either, I've messed around with the internet provider a lot.
A bunch of incompetent people are there. It is impossible to reach people with specialist knowledge at the ISP. Even with the largest Internet provider in Germany "Telekom", it is impossible, confirmed by several of the support members(call centers).
