It's that time of year when the networks flood you with Horror flicks.
If you are a fan of this genre, what are your favorites horror movies, franchise...
Thanks in advance!

- Halloween Franchise
- Paranormal Activity Franchise
- Scream Franchise (not rly a horror but I like it)
A bunch more, but mainly into found footage horror which is hard to find a lot of franchise series of these.

The one that scared me the most as a kid was the 1953 version of Invaders from Mars. I lost a lot of sleep over that movie. At the time that was about the scariest thing/concept that I had ever seen.

First horror movie to scare me, when I was a little kid...a B movie called "Grizzly"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grizzly_(film)
From 1976. Back then when I was a little kid, I used to cut through a lot of deep woods walking to/home from various places, friends houses, or riding my bike home in the dark on long empty country roads. After seeing this movie...boy, I'd RUN through the woods cuz I'd get scared, or really CRANK my bike fast riding home through empty areas of the roads (no houses around).
Couple of years ago this movie was on TV late one night...watched it...and boy, it seemed SOOOOOO corny, such as "B movie".

I love horror movie genre and first horror movie that really scared me was Psycho. My mom got really mad when she found out I was around 10.
Since that time a few zombie flicks and in last 15 years there hasn't been anything what would scare me or have unexpected end ...unfortunately.
EDIT:
What really scares me is when I'm on fishing trip in Rocky or Coastal mountains and I have to take a piss at 1 am and I can hear how something is circling our camp site. Another instance is fishing during day and 60' above or below me shows up mama bear with 2-3 cubs.

Not a horror movie fan, but always loved Serpent and the Rainbow.
Not horror, but creepy as sh*t.

Same here, I remember Invaders from Mars was on TV and I told myself "I've got to watch this". About 20 minutes into it I turned it off. Calling it a "B" movie would be an exaggeration.

I like the original The Fog.
The last new one that I liked was The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Felt like a good 80's horror for some reason

De Plano! Long time! How are you? It is great to hear from you!
If I remember the Fog correctly, it had some nice looking ladies in it. That movie was like 40 years ago, it seems.

Been good. I hope everyone here has been also.
The Fog has Jamie Lee Curtis in it and yep, she was a cutie. It was weird that John Carpenter remade his own movie, and made it worse imo. I am sure it was a familiarity thing for me, but still I like the original more
