Connect my wifi router with my modem (d-link)

Hi,
New to this forum. Hope my question makes some sense.
Let me explain this to the best of my understanding. I have a D-link router (DIR 524) which has 4 ports with wifi facilty. However, it needs RJ 45 internet connection. My home modem uses BSNL DSL connection which means I cannot connect the ADSL connection with my DIR 524 router which needs takes only RJ 45 wire. So, is there any way that I first connect the BSNL cable to my Dlink modem and then use the yellow ethernet cable to the wifi router and then use that router to run both my computer as well as wifi. Makes sense? If so, please let me know.
Thanks
