saving a PDF file ?
saving a PDF file ?
I want to be able to fill out and save a PDF file that I fill out from a saved blank form or online that says it can't be saved,is there a free easy way(app) to save it ? and I would need to re-edit it a later times.
Does it tell you why it can't be saved?
If it's protected out might be SOL.
I've had good luck saving some files like that with I think Nitro Reader. Couple of similar programs at work but I think that's the one that creates a virtual .pdf printer. Doesn't truly print as it is, but it creates a "printer" in your printer selection which actually just saves a .pdf image of your document...which can later be printed or sometimes saved. Might work to create a .pdf out of your copy-writed .pdf.
And it's free.

Can you send me a link, or similar?Dan wrote:no it doesn't say why,it's just a blank application.
The kind I get from vendors have writable fields but can typically be filled out to any stage and saved, and I keep the master copy blank.
Not sure if we're talking about the same thing.
Would have to discuss over a beer.
I am able to fill it out just fine,it won't save the form with anything filled out though.Humboldt wrote:Saved blank for me just fine, but would not let me enter any data. It does say "the filling of forms is not supported.:

When it was created, the author had a choice of security settings to apply to it...regarding filling, and saving. Often they're designed to open, fill, and print, or just open and print..to be filled in manually on paper.
You can try the latest Adobe Reader (currently XI)...or various 3rd party ones...but without knowing the authors settings...it's a lot of time spent just guessing.
