Have a Vonage phone adapter/router and seems that the router is not strong enough to supply my needs. Therefore, thought I would add a router to send the signal and turn the Vonage adapter into just that, an adapter alone. However, I need help in finding the right router. Need to send signal throughout 4000 square feet, three levels. The modem is a motorola.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

I'd get any decent brand dual-band wireless-N router with 450Mbps+ capability and possibly third-party firmware support (dd-wrt) if you're feeling adventurous and interested in tinkering with your network.

You might check out the Hawking range extenders - repeaters, or their high gain router.

It is better to setup an access point (connected to your router via Cat5), rather than a repeater (wireless both to the router and clients) if a cable between your main router and the access point is not an issue, because repeaters halve your wireless bandwidth. Any NAT router can be set as an access point only.
