I won't be buying until I pay off several bills, but this is in my price range.

Is this what you bought maybe 18 months ago and returned because you didn't like the image quality?

For a Canon XSi.
Open to other suggestions if you have time.

no,the one I had was the 55-250,that one and the 75-300 are great for the money.
