I NEVER HAD MUCH LUCK WITH WINGATE OR ANY OF THE OTHERS....BUT I DID HAVE GOOD LUCK WITH AVIRT'S SPEGHETTI PROXY.....SO TRY IT, ITS EASY TO SET UP AND SUPPORTS GAMING, CHAT, AND IRC....

I use SyGate and it works great. I don't set up a server though, just play on both computers. Half-life, rogue spear and UT mostly. Notice a little delay when playing on one and updating the servers on the other one. Very easy to set up, only the server needs the program installed

Same here. I use Sygate as well on two comp systems peer to peer. Play lots of games across the network as well as online. Haven't had a problem, yet.

i just got sygate after reading this. my problem is that i can get both puter into the msn gaming zone now, but when 2nd puter comes in, i lose all pings on main puter(server), the 2nd puter can join mine in a game, but no one else can join?? i also cant join both puters in a ip game at same ip. any suggestions?? btw, both puters are connected by twisted pair, no hub.

See my post concerning the Linksys router and Half-Life.
As far as pings skyrocketing when you connect multiple computers, put a cap on each computer's rate. Example in Half-Life: instead of staying at the default rate of 9999, try changing to 6000. That should help keep one computer from sucking all the bandwidth.
