I did a search but I didn't see any threads in regards to Defence Centre.

So I some how managed to pick up a nasty lil program called defence centre. It has pretty much screwed over my computer.

I'm locked out of my task manager when I press ctrl alt del. My virus protection under windows security is not found, but avast is still working.

Does anyone have any experience with this nice lil program?

when I google defense centre the first link is:

http://www.spywareremove.com/removeDefenseCenter.html

Do you guys think this is an ok site to trust?

Cho, that site is telling you how to manually remove Defense Center. I saw nothing wrong with the instructions that it provided. You do not have to install anything, so no worries as long as you follow the instructions and make a back up, before you start...

Thanks for the help.

I followed the link I found but it didn't get rid of it. I called a buddy over and he found a bunch of stuff I missed...but it still found a way to replicate itself and screw over my machine.

Ended up just formatting, upgrading to windows 7 from xp...didn't really care cause everything was backed up that I wanted to keep. Mainly just my 33 gigs of comics hahaha
