Like IPods, the aftermarket for macbook pro protection is certainly robust. What recommendations do you folks have for the 13" model?
Outside of buying a a different computer

Protection from what?
Physical protection or software?

Physical.
Although, software should also be a consideration...

Is this a new MacBook Pro? (They just released new models this morning...I will now stop twisting the knife)
Invisible Shield works well, although probably a pain in the neck to apply flawlessly.

No, please continue twisting, it will stop the self-flagellation .... yes, I heard the news.... The key change on the 13" is the graphics chip.
Thank you for the recommendation.

Probably like a screen protector on the iphone. I might want to pick one of these up for my macbook.

By and by, with the exception of the new 320/330 graphics chips, the latest macbook pros are only a refresh, from what I can tell, no quad cores.

All of the mobile i5/i7 chips are dual-core.

So I have read. There was talk of quad cores, akin to the variety of win based laptops.
Actually, imacs generally use mobile processors as well, save for the i5 and 17 quad cores in the 27" models.

I've used both Mac and Windows computers for a long time, and I actually preferred the "total experience" of the Mac to the PC prior to Windows 7. The new taskbar outshines the Dock in usability for me, and I'm using the PC almost exclusively now.
