Motherboard Memory QVL Question

I'm having a problem understanding the Asus QVL. I plan on going 64bit and would like to install the full 8gig of memory that the specs say the motherboard will handle.
What I don't understand are the footnotes. Am I able to install 4 - 2gig sticks DDR2-1066? My read on it says only 2 slots of 2gig sticks can be installed. I'm confused.

as far as their approved DDR2-1066 memory on that list goes, it appears youre reading it correctly. out of the memory included, i find only 1 clear way to get 8GB of memory, and thats using NANYA branded DDR2-667 dimms (close to bottom of .pdf). the way they describe single-channel mode config makes it sound like you can only use 1 dimm, in "either" slot. if you can fill all slots and run single-channel (which you should be able to do, but its not worded it to include that), then you would have more options to get to 8GB.
clear as mud.

Well I'm glad it was just me. I kept thinking I was reading it wrong. I think I'll email them and see what gives. I'll also look at bios updates to see if they say anything.

maybe take a peek over at Crucial using their memory advisor? "Guaranteed-compatible memory upgrades for your ASUS P5K WS Motherboard."
