I have a good friend with a sony camera in need of wireless connectivity. It has but a firewire port.
Any reasonably small footprint suggestions?

I have not seen a beast such as a wireless NIC. If there was one, how to configure it (SSID/security key) when leashed to a camera.
In coming up with a man in the middle suggestion, what is his intended goal? A means of pushing pics from the camera to another storage media such as a PC or media center?

I was thinking bluetooth or NIC.
The application is for an optometrist office. He wishes to connect the camera to his main system.
My friend has a rather interesting office, with some advanced diagnostic equipment.\

I did a setup for an eye care center about 2 years ago...a very quiet client I rarely hear from. Struggling to think of the name of the camera system package...was years ago. Their main app is Vital Works..but the camera/digital image package was separate. They had a special worktation that I provided...a graphics grade workstation, high rez images that the camera took. The workstation ended up pushing the pictures up to a special folder on their server however, camera just plugged into this workstation.

Does it have an SD card slot? If so, he could get one of those Eye-Fi wireless cards.

Not certain, however this would seem a perfect option.
Thank you for the advice, Burke.
