AI was one of the first topics that drew me to personal computers (Damn you, Eliza) Here, neuron pathways are being mimicked. Though not a particularly informative link, it is food for thought.

Killing all retards is bad? Experimenting on them is good? :thumb:

You have to stop the killing.

If they mimic the human consciousness, in all it's glory, what does that say about the human soul?

It says it can be mimicked. Mimicry is one of the most basic forms of communication, so simple a caveman can do it.

Creating a soul is a bit different then simple communication.

And a soul is more than just consciousness.

Go on. What is the "more"?

Our unconscious state, our energy, our "feel" and possibly even more that we aren't able to fully grasp yet.

It makes sense to me.

He's just pointing out that the killing of retards is bad and somehow the experimentation on retards is a good thing.

so if experiments are a good thing, then we must stop killing the retards which is a bad thing. So in a roundabout way it seems like he's saying that we should just continue to experiment on them instead of killing them. (could be completely wrong though.)

What this has to do with the thread topic I do not know but I figured I'd try and translate. :p

A bit vague. But is all this: "unconscious state, our energy, our "feel" and possibly even more", derived from the brain or not? My question is; if the brain is replicated will it produce a soul? If it does not, then do we take this as evidence of a soul external to the brain? And if it does do we take that as evidence of an organic soul?

Our brains do produce low levels of radiation. And our unconscious state does show us using brain power. As for the feel and pssibly more, I don't know.
