Ordered this today.

eVGA E760 Classified 3-way SLI motherboard.
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06 GHz
Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W power supply
CORSAIR XMS3 12GB (6 x 2GB) DDR3 SDRAM
and a 1400W UPS for it.

At Best Buy I picked up a keyboard, 23" monitor, and a 250 Graphics card.

Will be adding 2 more monitors and graphics cards later, but this should get me started back.

Which GPU's will you be running?

Will be running 250's.

From what I've been able to read they consume the least amount of power but will still output between 4,000 and 6,000 ppd depending on what wu's.

Tks

Nice production. They are equivalent to the 9800GT, no? I spotted 9800GX2 on ebay for 199, great folding boards.

I am averaging a bit over 2000 ppd with my 4870's in CrossFire. Sadly only one board works in said fashion. I just can't bring myself to undo CF and go through the other gyrations to maximize for two boards. Maybe the folding project will find another way.

Of course it would take 2 of the 250's to match a 9800GX2 in production, but they are real power hungry brutes. Requiring a 8-pin and a 6-pin connector for power, of course each one is like having 2 9800GTX's in one slot so can understand why. They are nice folders though.

I nabbed a 9800 GX2 on FleaBay for 157.00! This will ride comfortably in my dual quad core box..... I might win another.

Great! They are great folders. Make sure you register it with eVga on their web site. That way you should get some help if something goes wrong with the card(s).

I had 2 of them folding on one mb and whey put out the points. Avg 20,000 PPD.

I purchased them as used, so I am limited with regard to warranty. I might need a few words regarding setup.
