Turn signal problem

'93 Pathfinder.

Couple of days ago the left turn signal started blinking really fast. If the regular speed is 1 blink per second it's doing 3 per second now. Front left turn signal is out completely, the back left is blinking triple time.

Right hand is working fine front and back and blinking at regular speed.

Thought maybe the fuses were independent as far as left/right but looks like just 1 fuse and I'm having the same issue after swapping it out.

Any ideas? I'm guessing it has something to do with the front left signal going out but haven't had the time to fix it yet, and am not sure if that's a result of the problem or the cause of it.

Any help appreciated, thanks

I think that it’s either the bulb is burnt out or a faulty connection that is keeping it for operating properly.

When people used to go from incandescent bulbs to LED’s on their bikes it would make the blinkers flash fast. They had to install a load equalizer so that the flasher would see the same load on it and blink at the proper speed.

More then likely, change the bulb, problem solved.

Thanks for the reply RoundEye, that's what I'm hoping for. Got a new bulb today and will be swapping it out shortly.

Thanks again

It is built in so that you know when one of the blinkers is not working
