Hi!
I have an Athlon900@1080 (10*108) with an ASUS A7V
Is there s.o. who can unlock and run it @1.1Ghz (eg. 11.0*100) ???? Please tell me!
I know that I have this shabby "green" core DAMN!!!!
Thank you

Cheers,
Thor Walez

Yes, there is a way to overclock them. You have to relink the l1 bridges using a conductive pencil. There is an article on it here.

Hey Messiah..... What shakes?!

Is this a slot or a socket Athlon?
Can you push the voltage and raise the clock (10*115MHz for instance)

A Socket A can have the L1 bridges shorted and the multiplier set by the Mobo.

You should be able to post with 10.5x@115FSB
My goal is to take my 900 at 10.5x@110

Hey DAVID!
Hey messiah!
Please tell me if you are running our crap 900 @10,5*110 I think it won´t run :p

I will make a deal in a few days: I sell s.o. my ASUS A7V and buy me the ABIT KT7A :D
It will only cost me about US$20 hehehe BIG DEAL

...I already unlocked it from 9* to 10* 10,5* will work but freeze after hours!
Vcore is at 1,80 (real 1,84) when trying 10*110 with max. Core 1,85 (real 1,89V). It boot at 1.1Ghz but win2kpro will prompt an blue screen of death! ...

Thor,

no im not running at 10x yet. I have not unlocked my chipset yet. (im waiting for a few weeks) However while some people have said(freckmoto) our chips aren't the best for overclocking.. but hell it's a 900mhz! Right now, mines so tweaked out, I dont see how it could be any faster.

anyhow: It is possible to post at over 1.2ghz with our chips. You should use This as your cross refrence and then see how they obtained these speeds. I've found some really good overclocking forums if you want the links.

Thor, do this, take your multiplier down to 8.5 and see if you can crank fsb up to 130. Other than that your lookin @ 11x100 or 9.5xlike 110 or something like that.
seems like the 11 multiplier or 12 multiplier would be easier but your fsb would drop to schtanky levels and you wouldnt see the performance out of it like you want.

No chance on an A7V of 130 FSB, just plain no chance. Without a mod that is.
