Anybody ever run a triple monitor setup?

I had to observe the dispatchers at the local 911 Center, and they had their dispatch consoles setup with.
1 Triple Monitor Setup.
And 2 separate screens for other stuff (1 for phone and 1 for radio).
What Graphics Cards are able to do the triple monitor setups?

And what are the disadvantages to those? Other than...they prolly wont game worth a crap.
Ever since I did that observation, I've been wanting a 3x Monitor Setup, can't afford it right now of course.

This one looks like it does 4.

With earlier versions of Windows, it had to be done with video cards that supported it, if I recall, XP and prior would natively only support dual monitors.

Matrox video cards would support triple and I think quad back then. With todays SLI/Crossfire capable motherboards, having dual video cards..each with dual video outputs...you can run 4.

I'm sure there are special purpose video cards that support beyond that.

I've done 3 but I've used a splitter beyond the two DVI ports already on the card. If you do that you can run up to 5 or more depending on the amount from the splitter.
