What are the effects of having say 128Mb PC-100 Ram and 256 Mb of PC-133 Ram together on the same board? Does the 133 take on the lowest RAM attributes and become 100 MHZ?
Let me know!
Thanks

it depends on what speed your bus runs at,if you have a 100mhz bus it will run at 100,the pc133 is backwards compatible.if you have 133mhz bus, then put the 256 board in the slot closest to the cpu.

all of your ram has to run at one speed..be it 100 or 133 mhz.. 2 options, run the pc133 along w/ the 100 at 100mhz, or run the pc100 along w/ the 133 at 133mhz.. the later is, ofcourse, harder to do because you have to have some NICE pc100 ram to run it at 133..heh.. but yea basicaly better to put largest sticks closer to cpu (supposedly).. shrug. never had a problem either way so it's kewl. later

The effect is, your PC133 7.5ns will be running on the PC100 8ns speed.
It will work but it's a waste. Don't you think?

not really since the difference isn't noticable unless ur run q3 at 1280x1024 and wanting 1000000fps :P, hell look at stinking DDR. it's like 5% realistically.
