It's kept me up 'til 1:30am the lat 3 nights and I've gotten my ass handed to me every time. I've only fiddled with SP so far but the AI is merciless and it's quite a handful dealing with all the logistics but since I'm new to this genre it may be just me. I've heard better things about MP but I haven't gone online yet. It's worth the ~30.00-40.00.

I give you a 1 out of 10 score for describing this game.

Sounds like an RTS...I will give it a whirl when I get a chance.... but my favorite RTS to date is still C&C Zero Hour.

Yes, an RTS on a solar system scale. The point is take control of a planet and then ultimately the system while building and developing your empire. There's a delicate balance of politics and military action which forces you to keep your enemies close and your allies closer.

Gave it a quick try, the tutorials annoy me, have to try just a reg game later.

EDIT: Played a few games, I think it still needs work.

Lots of work.

Creating a fleet is nice, but you better remember which is which cuz the icons are the same and no name.

The research tree section looks fancy but it could be better laid out.

I didnt really see a patrol feature.

When ships have multiple antimatter abilities it would be nice to have preference option for which one to use first.

The listing of your planets defenses and ships on the left is a little bit much.

The pirates option is kinda lame, should be able to hire them.

You can pin certain fleets to the empire tree making it a little easier to find in the heat of a battle and the closest they have to a patrol feature are scout ships and the scout feature, by default, is not selected. So, you have to create a scout ship...enable the feature and guide it to where you want it to go. You can collapse the tree or disable the feature entirely within the option.

You can hire the pirates by placing bounties on the heads of the other players....you just gotta make sure that someone else has a higher bounty when they leave port (watch the countdown clock)

Players can construct planet-based improvements and orbital structures, the latter of which is divided into "logistical" and "tactical" structures.Image
