Blank screen.....Need help?

Well basically when I turn on my computer it starts running but the monitor light goes orange and I get nothing displayed. I've tried switching monitors but thats as far as I got before work. I was hoping to get some suggestions of things i could try.
I am using an ABIT KT7A with the T-bird 1Ghz.
Video Card -> 3dfx Banshee
OS: Win2k
Sound: AWE64
But basically I can't get into my computer to change any settings.
What could it be?

well if you can't get into safe mode even,than I would say try removing and reinstalling the vid card physically,if that does not work ,I would say it's a bad vid card.It probably would not be two monitors,go buy a new vid card from a store that has a good return policy to see if that is the prob.

Try reseating the vid card or try a different vid card.
Did you recently add software/hardware?
When did this first occur?

I had that problem with one of my comps recently too. It turns out that my mobo had died.

the first thing i would do would be throw the Clear CMOS jumper for about 3-5 seconds. that would (ideally) rule out a dead mainboard if you can get into your BIOS. then make sure your init display setting is set to the interface type of your Banshee (after setting up the soft menu for your CPU, of course).
then i would just go through each of the standard POST checks (RAM, CPU, VGA device, etc).
just thought i'd throw that in.
