John McCain more likely to drop Sarah Palin, bookmakers say

The smart money thinks there's a better chance Tuesday than Monday that John McCain will dump Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Before the Republican senator's presidential campaign disclosed the pregnancy of Palin's 17-year-old daughter, bookmakers in Britain and Ireland were offering 20-1 odds or higher on a bet that she would be forced off the ticket, meaning a 1 pound ($1.78) bet would pay 20 pounds. Now that same bet will pay no more than 8 pounds.
"While it is rare that a VP candidate gets dropped, it's not completely impossible," said Ken Robertson, political
betting analyst at Paddy Power Plc, a Dublin-based gambling company. "Lots of our punters are betting 'Shocking' Sarah's
days are numbered," he added, using a nickname he came up with for the first-term Alaska governor.
Twenty to one odds? LMAO!
I dunno..
You would think it would be political suicide if he did and political suicide if he doesn't.

I think he will keep her. It doesn't make any sense not to at this point. Unless of course they didn't vet her properly and then in that case no way does McCain deserve to be President.

After watching her speech I want to put $10,000 on him KEEPING her! I cant wait for the vice-pres debate.

Me neither. Maybe she can borrow that ear piece that Bush used in the first debate in 2004.

It's common to refer to speeches as if they were written by the speechmaker. Everyone knows speech
writers are generally employed to craft them.

Me neither. You would think that Bush would have been honest and gone solo during that debate.

I'm not sure why people are making a big deal about this speechwriter bit. It's common. Hell, I went to a speech given by one of Willy Clinton's old speechwriters -- he said Clinton could pick up a speech 10 minutes before he had to give it and deliver it perfectly.

Well again..its most likely he didn't do what you think... no proof other than a bulge in his back to say otherwise. I remember watching that debate and reading about this nonsense afterwards. This link pretty much says it all
