For Philly...NOT FOR DETROIT! I'd never seen someone fall so much in my life who was actually a pro! He was horrible and slow here.

I met him at the OHL finals. Nice kid, not very big, but I hear he's damn good. He is good friends and an old team mate of my bosses nephew. He should be drafted in the next couple years.

Totally forgot this was today. I gotta go see what the Leafs got. lol!

The Leafs actually made a move and got the 5th overall pick. Defenseman Luke Schenn. I'm in shock!

Holland has a year to get creative with the cap and some extensions (Zetterberg and Franzen) to make it possible to re-sign Hossa. I think near training camp a few D men will be traded for some picks - not that any that would be traded clear significant room. This is assuming Hossa would take a "discount" again and I think a lot depends on how the season goes... because I am sure the gigantic offers will be there yet again.

I am thinking Zetterberg may sign an extension in the 6.5 - 7M range - but I could be totally wrong. I am not sure what Franzen will want - but if he produces good next year, I think he may possibly test free agency. Maybe they can get on the same page and see how much of a cut they are willing to take (if any) to bring Hossa in long term.

....Also, what the hell is wrong with the Canucks offering Sundin 2 years at 20M.
