Looking for a kitten

ok, so my mom has been wanting to get a cat for a while now. but nowadays its harder to adopt or get a cat than it is a child. Long story short is she had issues with the adoption agency here because they dont want you to let the cat outside.

Anyway we had 3 a couple of years ago and all were very well cared for. So what im looking for is anyone that knows where to fnd a kitten without these hassles of having an agency come to your house to check on the cat. Anyone having kittens soon or know someone that is, or have another solution? I'm in the northern NJ area if anyone can help.

Thanks!

thats the whole problem here. basically what happened was, my mom went to this humane place and they make you fill out a form, asking all kinds of questions how will you treat the cat. one question asks if you will let it outside... she said yes, because thats what we did with all the other cats we had.

well they dont like that and blacklist her from adoption.

I'll get her one off the street in the city :)
They have them in crates on the sidewalk and donate them.
