A little late and should have asked. But, I did purchase it a few days ago. So, far it has been great! I have it paired with my Linksys BEFSR41 v4.0 router. My old setup was the same router but with a Toshiba PCX2200 cable modem. I finally had to retire it since I upgraded my service to 10mb/1mb. I was going to buy the Motorola SB5101. I actually had it in my hand and seen the Linksys. Then decided to go with that. It was $10 more than the Motorola.

So thent eh question is did you make a good choice? If it runs well for you then I'd say sure, I have no experience with it, or knowledge about it, but if it gets you the speed you need, it can't be bad.

It's OK..the main thing is to see if it is supported by your ISP..especially if they offer speed boost services such as Comcasts Powerboost. Docsis 2 compliance will hold any more that qualifies for it at 38 megs download...so no matter what brand modem you have...if it's current generation..it will support those speeds.

The old befsr41 router is your current bottleneck.

Really? Because that router is still being sold at retail but have noticed its newer versions. I'm not a fan of wireless and despise it. Can you suggest to me a better router that Linksys makes? I would surely like to stay with Linksys since I have had no trouble with mine. Come to think of it. I guess I could go with a wireless one and just not use that feature. I came across this one. What do ya think? Looking in my box. I still have the receipt for my current router. I bought it on 4-29-05.

If your net speeds are fine, stick with the router you have.

The WRT54 line is getting outdated as well, right now Dlink is the way to go for the home users looking for performance, with the DGL 4500 or the DIR655.
