Stocking my new humidor: Suggestions?

Post by Easto »

It wasn't a Xmas present. I got it from one of the sales reps at work. Pretty nice. Should hold about 150 cigars (bigger than the one I have). I've already put some Davidoffs, Fuentes and Avo's in it. I still have a long way to go and since I got a little cash for Xmas I'm going to pickup another 10 or 20 cigars tomorrow.

I'm looking for suggestions etc.

(and yes I'll pay $20 for a nice cigar)

I started mine humidor with 3 sampler sets, not that expensive and a good variety of sizes and leaves. Make sure you take notes after you smoke one so to make it easy to find a favorite.

H. Upman makes some good Dominican products.

re the humidor:
Place a dollar bill half way in the box then close the lid. If you can pull out the bill then trash the humidor as it's worthless, it won't do what a humidor is supposed to do.

ACID Blondies are afun, quick burning cigar, I like em because they're sweet on the draw end and don't leave any after taste. They air cure with various spices that impart arich, mellow taste.

Very mild, very likeable.

Cohiba Red Dots. Can't get em' in the US (legally) but by far the best overall cigar I've had.

Cohiba Siglo II's, As above notlegal in the US. Very VERY good cigar though.

MonteCristo Number2's. These are torpedos, quite good, a solid longlasting smooth cigar.

I have a humidor here in my locker stocked with the above brands.

For US Domestic, I can safely recommend the Tony Sopranos.
