I love Canada, its not a bad place to live....

BUT!!!!

We have been looking for to major things this past week.
A new furnace, and a new leather sofa.

American online sites engulf the internet giving out prices and facts, delivery options and so on.
Canadian sites on the other hand are secretive, must call for pricing and so on and so on.

It really ticks me off that there is this giant SECRET up here.

I can buy a new high eff furnace stateside, for under a $1000 cash and carry, but up here.....Call for installed price is the only option.
Be prepared for the $4000.00 rim job

Leather, if you can actually find a sofa made of " REAL " leather, not Bicast, Faux leather, bonded, split and so on and so on, Grrrrr!!!!!

All I want is a dead cow nailed to some boards....Is that so difficult??? :irate:

" END RANT "

yeah tons of bullsh+t canadians imported 25,000 cars from the states in october because they are tired of being assraped 9,000$ per car. So now the gov is imposing ridiculas modifications on 2008 models making it very expensive to import.

what REALLY pisses me off is Large corporations ( coleman for ex) Jack the price way high for canadians and enforce that US retailers do not ship to canada.

I think its time to compile a list of companies that charge way to much in Canada vs US and boycott

There are few companys (EB games) who are now standing up for Canadians and pricing the same, Canadian Tire will also match any US price.

Btw I had a dead cow on some boards and I ended up selling it bcz in the summer its too damn sweaty and sticky when wearing shorts. on the plus side easy to clean. Micro fibre breathes better ...2 cents

The snowmobile companies (Polaris, SkiDoo, Yamaha, Arctic Cat) have threatened their US dealerships that if they sell sleds to Canadians, then the dealer will lose the right to sell those machines. They want to keep Canadians buying sleds in Canada.
