Hurricane Felix, which was classified as a hurricane yesterday, is now a Class 5 hurricane today...

Speaking for myself, I would find it hard to live in places where tornadoes or hurricanes seem to hit often. It would bother the besieges out of me.

Hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes I would like to avoid.

At least with hurricanes, you have advanced warning to get out of it's way. Tornadoes, not so much.

I remember my first earthquake scenario. It was only a 4.0 but I felt like I was jumping up and down :rotfl:

I was visiting my aunt in Granada Hills, California. She told me that they were still getting aftershocks from the earthquake that tore up the LA freeway. I forget the exact location of it, but my cousin lost his house as a result of that quake.

If there had to be an evacuation over here due to a hurricane, it would be a total nightmare and I can guarantee every house will be looted before the people return.

I still remember the night vividly when a tornado passed right over the top of our house. Woke both my wife and I up instantly, and it sounded just like everyone said it would sound like - a freight train running through the living room. Fortunately, there was only minor damage to some neighbor's homes and not ours...

You know I just got thinking about it. My wife's best friend and her husband took a vacation this week to somewhere in the Caribbean.

Steve mentioned that he did take out hurricane insurance though.

Maybe they'll have a heck of a story to tell the grandkids!

Read the thread title....

Thought this thread would be about Roody's lack of longevity.

My bad!

Carry on...
