Thanks for your reply and settings. It "seems" to be moving quicker. I headed on over to dslreports.com and took there tweak test with the settings you suggested. Before I got all smileys and no suggestions. It said everything was looking good. They just suggested I become pingable. But now. It says this.

That is the main difference between Speedguide's TCP Optimizer and other tweak programs. Here, we recommended to first calculate RWIN to the largest even mulitples of MSS without Window scaling.

When bandwidth or latency demands RWIN to be higher than 65535, we recommend to set RWIN higher by the next scale factor:

For MTU = 1500 and MSS = 1460

Unscale RWIN = MSS x 44 = 64240
Next scaled RWIN = 64240 x 2 = 128480 - for US bandwidth 5-8 mbps
And the next = 128480 x 2 = 256960 - for US bandwidth 8-16 mbps

I need your help asap! Would really appreciate it. I just upgraded my connection to 10mb/1mb. You optimized my connection for 5mb/512 with TCP Optimizer. I am currently using those settings until you can fix me up and optimize me again for my new service. Here are my results with the new service upgrade.

I am using a Toshiba PCX2200 cable modem and found out it could be holding back my speed. Are your settings still optimal overall for 10mb/1mb service? Or will I need to make changes again when picking up my new modem to get full speeds?

Sorry to bring this back from the dead. I thought it would be better then making a whole new thread. I upgraded to the 16mb/2mb tier about a week or so ago. General question. The slider that is in the optimizer. Am I suppose to move that to the 16,000kbps since I am on the 16mb/2mb tier now?

I am back again. We are getting another upgrade in the next 2 weeks or so. Charter cable is increasing the 16mb/2mb to 20mb/2mb. Which we are currently on the 16mb/2mb tier. I wanted to know if any changes need to be made when we get that new speed increase of 20mb/2mb or are my current settings fine? Thanks guys.

TCP Receive Window set at 513920 is good for speed of up to 24 mbps within North America.

Thanks trogers. I will leave it as is. Do you suggest moving the slider in tcp/ip optimizer to 20? I have it on 16 with the custom settings you guys suggested.

Do I need any more tweaking using the SG TCP/IP Optimizer or are the settings still fine? Also. I heard we will be getting a upgrade. From 20mb/2mb to 20mb/5mb Will I need to adjust any thing with in SG TCP/IP Optimizer?
