For the 3rd time.
The Indians today reacquired center fielder Kenny Lofton from the Texas Rangers for Max Ramirez, a minor-league catcher, team sources said.
Lofton was an Indian for nine seasons (1992-2001). He is the Indians' all-time leading base stealer and a fan favorite. Lofton, 40, is hitting .303 with seven homers and 23 RBI for the Rangers. He is making $6 million this year.
Ramirez, 22, plays for Class A Kinston in the Carolina League. He is batting.303 with 12 home runs and 62 RBI.
An official announcement of the deal could be made later today.
Indians General Manager Mark Shapiro and Assistant General Manager Chris Antonetti could not be reached.

I actually like the move. Always liked Kenny Lofton and Cleveland gives up a guy who may or may not even see the Big Leagues. The wife is happy about it. He should provide some veteran experience to the team.

He sure proved his worth tonight. Lofton has always been one of my favorites and we definitely needed someone who can score runs. If they didn't get pitching which they really needed, this was the next best thing.

Only one game back again.......
