Hey y'all, I like watching magic. I know in the back of my mind that it’s all just smoke and mirrors as they say, but I still like it. I like trying to figure out how they do it, at least some kind of explanation that satisfies my feeble mind.
Chris Angel’s latest trick of levitating in the beam of light 500 feet above the Luxor hotel has me stumped. No way strings were above him or something below him to lift him either. Maybe they used some type of Disney trick to project a 3D image of him into the beam of light, I don’t know. It sure as hell looked like he was way up there to me. I guess it’s one of those must see things, it would probably take me a 1000 words to explain it all.
Vegas sure is a wild city, they’ll let you pull a stunt to try to kill yourself, hell, even pay you to try and kill yourself, then take odds on if you are going to live or not.

I like Blaine better than Angel, but Chriss does do some pretty wild things.....I've read boards where fools actually believe he's doing the things he does, like when he walked on water in that pool

There are probably clear tubes that are being covered by the light so you can't tell they are there. Like those novelty beer cups with a neverending supply of beer being poured into it.

What ever they used was well hidden. He walked up a bunch of catwalk type steps, through all the lights right onto the top of the thing. I just couldn’t see a way that they could rig up something to push him straight up. It also seemed like he was up there and not projected because you could see his shadow in the beam of light. Killer trick however they pulled it off.
