Bleach

Is bleach safe to use when cleaning tires? I can't seem to get the raised white lettering back to new factory white and the dust and dirt is a PIA to throughly remove. Suggestions?

I posted that.knightmare wrote:There is a product made by Wwestly's called Bleech-White, made for white letter tires.
Considering the fact that both of you guys spelled the product's name wrong, I'll chime in with my own suggestion:CableDude wrote:I posted that.![]()

JCOS, did you try Bleche-Wite? I've heard from multiple sources that this could be the product you're looking for!

Nah, the PX does not sell much in car care products. A Q-Tip? I don't have that much time. lol Now, I did buy a large box of SOS pads fromt he PX some months ago.knightmare wrote:There is a product made by Wwestly's called Bleech-White, made for white letter tires.
Not sure if the PX carries it over there. Other choices are a Bug & Tar remover, or the ole trusty SOS pad....
straight bleach may discolor the black part of your tires... If you use it, try to apply it to the letters only, with a Q-tip.
Unlikely I can get such chemical liquids shipped through the APO.Jim wrote:Considering the fact that both of you guys spelled the product's name wrong, I'll chime in with my own suggestion:
