I shouldn't be on th road. I ran over something cute and fuzzy. I felt so awful; I cried. It appeared to be a mole..or maybe just a really old squirrel. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way..admit it guys, nobody likes to kill a defenseless creature. :(

Really old squirrel? What makes you think it wasn't a young baby one, who was ready to go out into the world for the first time before you sent him to a vulcanized grave? :o

The damn little rodents may be cute at times, but they have a habit of darting into the road far too often. I'm sure you feel pretty bad about it (I would too), but there's probably nothing you could've done to avoid it, save for going off the road yourself.

You're sick prey.

I'm not saying to swerve around a rabbit and end up flying over a cliff or anything but dang it, in a line of seven cars I'm the only one that hit it. :(

The worst one I had, a couple of years ago....going down this road in the springtime. Fast traffic, narrow road, along a lake. Momma duck and a buncha little yellow fuzzball babies decided to cross the road. A situation where traffic in front of me somewhat blocked the view, I had traffic behind me, and I remember a truck and more traffic in the oncoming lane. The way stuff was moving..it was me who had the unfortunate timing. I heard several pops as I ran them over...I believe momma was done too...probably just a couple of chicks left..but the cars behind me got them most likely as they would have stayed near the others.

...I never tried making Arroz con quack!

Hi Levity_Kitty

Good thing you don't live in the country or you'd be in tears all the time.

Between the rabbits, groundhogs, squirrels, skunks, deer and road debris you pretty much have your limit every month.

Not much one can do when they suddenly appear, unless you wish to endanger yourself or others, which is not a good idea.

Dont feel bad, that's like 30 points. JK

Dont forget to get the hose out to wash the cute furry creature blood off your car undercarriage.

Larry pretty much said it for country living. Full moon time seems to be the highest fatality time as well. I counted 2 deer, 3 racoons, 1 cat and an unknown just day before yesterday on the way to the small corner market...less than 3 miles away. :( After nearly totaling a car, I no longer swerve to miss the critters, but still brake as hard as I can, if it is a safe thing to do, and nothing right on my tail to create yet another danger. And yes...I still feel badly if I do encounter an unavoidable situation, probably always will...however, some things are really out of your control Chin up!

The ones that do anger me, are the dogs and cats hit on this road, that some people never even stop to see how they are, or if they can find the owners :(
