I've attempted multiple times to set my defualt home page to something other than
http://www.geocities.com/bellsouth_tracker
No luck, it keeps comoing back. I've cleared cookies, cache, history, inet temp dir, etc. No luck. Called Bellsouth and they no nothing (surprise!). Cannot find a way to contact Geocities.
Thoughts?

Start > Settings > Control Panel > type in URL > Click 'Apply' [not default] > Click OK > Reboot.
Should work.

REGEDIT -
HKEYCurrent User\Software\Microsoft\IE\Main
Start page will be shown in right frame Rt click it and choose "modify" and type the url that you want as your homepage.

TonyT...
Thanks. Made the changes to the Registry. I'll reboot and see if it keeps.
If you don't hear from me it worked. If I post again...oh well, more help will be needed.

Open regedit and do a search for all keys with bellsouth_tracker.

I found it!
Did a "find" on my PC for *.8 files and the text "bellsouth_tracker".
A vbs file was downloaded on my computer, but I am not certain how. It was named network.vbs and was a script file that was in my Win98 StartUp folder so it was rerun every time I reboot which is why I couldn't keep the default web page changed after a reboot. I deleted the file from the Startup and reset the I-net options to the desired web page, reboot and wa-la!!

Yeah!
Now go back to the website you got it from and spit at the screen!
