I tried many tweaks i know (thanks mnosteele52 tweaks and tips) but still cant get enough speed through my 7000/800 cable internet connection with Vif internet.

512 Mb ram
XP home SP2
Linksys EtherFast Cable/Dsl 4-Port switch Router, Model no BEFSR41
Linksys 10/100 EtherFast PCI Adapter, model no LNE100TX
Motorola Cable Modem, model no SB5101

Test64 Speed Test results are not stable, start slowly from 400 ko/s, increase up to 700 ko/s but dont stay there, decrease to 300-500 ko/s, increase again, decrease..... and often ended in 400 ko/s

Speed test on http://www.stickdog.com : 4382/731

NiC card is set to 100TX Full Duplex. Other settings available are 100 BaseTx, 100BaseTxFull_Duplex, 10BaseT, 10BaseTFullDuplex, AutoSense. I use ISP DNS servers, it's faster this way for me.

BTW, i use mnosteele52 DNS cache fix for W2K/XP.

do a few speed tests from here at speedguide and some at speedtest.net and even speakeasy.net and take a average..do a few in the morning and some at night.

your computer may be bottlenecking your connection.

also lower your RWIN some.. go to 256960 and make sure you run that slider at the top of Optimizer to the right some more beyond what your supposed to get.

Tcp/ip analyser dont show it but I already use 128480. TcpOptimizer suggest 513920, i will try it and see.

I was with 4 Mbps adsl before, speed was ok with this P3-733. You are the first bother about my P3-733, 512 ram, you may be right, i dont know. Waiting for other opinion

With 513920 last night, my dowload speed increase up to 6400 but my upload speed decrease to 3xx to 5xx kbps

This morning, it is ok with 128480, still not 90% of 7000.... Think i experienced cable slowdown at peaktime. Will test again

Cause for slower upload speed may either be the presence of spyware or problem with the cable modem.

Scan for spyware and check modem log on power levels and SNR.

My pc is spyware clean.

My cable modem is supposed to be ok according to search I made.
