Whats up with cartoons nowadays? You don't see anything as good as back in the day.

Transformers
Thundercats
Mario Bros
Zelda
Spiderman
X men
Ironman

Theres nothing thats been created recently that reall seems like it could last like those.

Some of the adult ones are good though like american dad and south park.

On a side note, have you watched any of those recently? I'm willing to bet that there's a bit of a rose tint in your glasses...

yups. All cartoon episodes had a moral to them back then too.

Older stuff in b/w that went to color later... Tennesse Tuxedo comes right to mind.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman and the WayBack Machine. lol.

Cool topic YoS.

Robotech is basically a blend of three separate animated shows. The series ran for about 85 episodes.

Also keep in mind that Peabody and Sherman were just part of the two Bullwinkle shows, along with Dudley Do-Right and others.

And how has Animaniacs not been mentioned yet?

It was a great show for dorks like myself growing up. It had everything from tons of movie and TV in-jokes (everything from Star Wars to Gilbert and Sullivan operas), to rodents who plan world domination, and even songs that listed everything from the countries on the planet to the Presidents of the United States (which is slightly edited from its original version).

The geeks obviously loved the show. :p

Old Warner Brothers cartoons rule!

I had a college Physics professor who brought in Road Runner cartoons on VHS. He would play them as problems. Giving us some weights speeds of the Road Runner or the Coyote. Length of a plank or fulcrum height ect. Then ask how high up in the air the Coyote went till he dropped over the cliff. Then ask how much farther down was the drop below the cliff.

The bastards were the rockets the coyote would ride. As they flew along the weight and speed would change as height kept changing. That all stopped when the Dean walked in and saw 75 guys crammed around 3 TV sets with clip boards having as many as 5 stop watches mounted on them like NASCAR dudes.

Good times... :thumb:
