Pretty much indifferent to the whole holiday and act like it at all get-togethers. I think in the last 20 years, it's really lost about everything it should stand for (in my book).

I hate it.

No Christmas blues here however it's my 3rd Holiday Season abroad and I could use some snow and sub-zero temps around here. Honestly, Christmas just isn't the same to me without the cold and snow. On that point I do wear a jacket at 60F. It feels 32F to me. :p

Next year during this time we may go to Europe for a few days (seriously) just so Pamie can experience the Christmas season with snow. Heck it's only a 3-6 hour flight to any European destination from Kuwait.

JCOS,

If you do that, make sure you visit the Christmas Market in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The city center is preserved from Medieval times and it's just an awesome set up. Then drive down to Austria for fantastic skiing!

Tom,

I'm seriously contemplating this trip. Just one week is all we need since I'll be after our annual visit to the PI. From +35C plus 80% humidity to -5C. I'm teasing myself thinking of the cold. One of my wife's dream cities to visit is Venice. I think that'll make for a great 1 year anniversary/christmas gift.

Thanks for the suggestion as well. I wonder if they have bunny slopes in Austria. Hell, I haven't skied in over 18 years and Pamie doesn't even know what snow is. :D

Merry Christmas!

I could write the book on having the holiday blues. :(

I have those blues worse than ever this year. Last night as I walked to the store I had a revelation. Every red truck that I see on the road... I look to see if it's the ex. I am friggin nuts. :(

I'll be so glad when these holidays are over and the "what could have been" and such thoughts lessen.

Dude! I'm giving you a swift kick in the ass. Move ON! Hey did you bother to check the blue trucks? You should have for it could have been your new girlfriend. Catch my drift?

Merry Christmas!

:rotfl: I was kicking myself in the ass for it last night. That is so friggin nuts.

Move on? Easier said than done. I'm just not ready to look for anybody else, it's gonna take me some time to get over it. I'm really screwed up :(

I got the drift JCOS. That is what I should be doing. I'm supposed to be moving out of the immediate area today, so that should help.

Merry Christmas JCOS!

It's way easier to do once you "do it". Trust me. Sure we all screw up. Now that you know how you screwed up don't let it happen again. Live and learn brother. ;)

Now go grab your red rider BB gun (I know you have one), drive to that goose infested field, lay down some suppression fire and kill a goose for din-din tomorrow night. :D

I'll certainly think about what you said bro. :)

lol, as for the goose....

If I take one it's gonna be by hand. Years ago a hunting bud showed me a technique for breaking goose necks. Ya get 'em by the head, hoist 'em up off their feet, then twirl 'em around until the neck breaks. lol!

I've been bitten by geese doing that :rotfl: Until then I didn't know that geese bit.

If I recall correctly the field is frequented by both Canadian and African geese.

When I used to hunt it would bother me sometimes... geese mate for life. So I dunno if I can really kill one, I gave up hunting years ago because I just didn't have it in me anymore.

C'mon baby
C'mon baby
C'mon baby
C'mon baby
Yeah!
Don't wanna talk about it
And I don't wanna hear what's for sale
Just move on baby
Time has got you by the tail
Your tail
You don't know what you got till it's already gone
And now this gone as you can get
I try to reason with you but there's no reason at all
While I'm banging my head up against a brick wall
I want a woman
Not some little girl
Who had to grow up
In daddy's big world
I want a woman
Who can really love me, yeah
Dead ringer of a woman
You think I'm like a truck
Even I ain't gonna walk on glass
Well no chance
I try to love ya baby
But sometimes you're just a pain in the ass
The problem with you is that I can't get through
And all this proves is I can get
I take you up north and then you wanna go south
You're just leaving another bad taste in my mouth
I want a woman
Not some little girl
Who had to grow up
In daddy's big world
I want a woman
Who knows how to love me, yeah
Baby that's what I want
I want a woman
Not the teacher's pet
Who tried to grow up
But hasn't made it quite yet
I want a woman
Who makes me feel like nobody can
I want those legs
Groovy lips
(I want a woman)
With high heels
Shake those hips
(I want a woman)
Red dress
What a scene
(I want a woman)
C'mon baby
You'll be my wildest dreams, yeah!
(I want a woman)
I'm thinkin' now down the week so much
Think the chances that that woman's touch
I want a woman
Not some little girl
Who had to grow up
In daddy's big world
I want a woman
That knows how to love me, yeah
Baby that's what I want
I want a woman
Not the teacher's pet
Who tried to grow up
But hasn't made it quite yet
I want a woman
Who makes me feel like nobody can
I want those legs
Red dress
(I want a woman)
Groovy lips
Shake those hips
(I want a woman)
With high heels
C'mon baby
(I want a woman)
What a scene
You'll be my wildest dreams, yeah!
(I want a woman)

:D

Indifferent toward most holidays. We are supposed to celebrate the birth of JC, not the ability to outspend the Jones. I keep trying to move it more to a celebration of life, but with a ten year old and my old lady loving to shop, its one step forward and two steps back.

I just think that my problem is that I have not been feeling so great all week. Some type of bug going around. The extreme weather changes don't help either.

Agree that it just isn't the same without snow and cold temps. I havn't been in the christmas mood the last couple of years because its like 60-70 degrees down here. its raining right now and just seems out of place, should be snow. We don't even have our tree up, not sure if its going up.

Next year will be better, gonna be back up north god willing! :thumb:
