I'm going to set up a dual boot system with either me/2000 or 98/2000. I have 2 hard drives a 20gig and a 4.8gig. The 20 gig is the faster of the two, I was thinking of splitting the 20 in half for ME and 2000 and having the 4.8 for mp3's, downloads, ect. What do you guys think?

I would. Mainly because you will proubly kill the little drive. trying to put two different version of windows on it. GoodLuck!

I would patition the 4.8 into maybe 1/3.8 or 2.4/2.4 for the system files, then use the 20gig for all the data storage, of course, u can always partition the 20gig into smaller pieces..

I think I would probably split the 20 gig up 12/8 12 for 2k and 8 for whatever. then I would just put 98 on the 4giger.

i would partition the 4 gig in half for both OS's and keep all the software on the 20 gig that you partiton in half one partition for program files and one partition for mp3's and other multimedia. but this won't let you use the NTFS file system. In all honesty win2k is compatible with almost every thing out there now. so why duel boot just wasteing space i bet you find yourself if you do duel boot useing win2k over 98/ME just for stability its better ability to manager resorses speed and security over the other.
