Any know is what the following processes are and if they can be removed?

Webscanx.exe
svchost.exe

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know about Webscanx, but the Svchost Service is used by more than one service and cannot be shutoff, especially if you're on a network.

webscanx.exe isn't something running on my system, so I suspect it is not too important. It could be an anti-virus component, or even spyware. Just trying killing it and see if your system still runs fine. If it does, it probably wasn't important.

Also, search your hard drive for the file. The directory it is in might give you an idea as to what exactly it does.
