Hey guy I am using a belkin wireless usb F5D7050. I use the belkin software and the windows WZC software to connect. My connection randomly keeps dropping. I have to ether restart my pc or dis/reconnect the adaptor to get it to work again. I have look all over then net with no luck it’s my send adaptor I RMA the 1st one both have same problems on different pcs. Any ideas??

What make/model router are you connecting to? Recent firmware on the router?

SSID set to something other than the default one, in case other neighboring WLANs of the same brand are interfering?

Try changing the channel on the WAP try a few of them. You'll have to disconnect/reconnect each time you change a channel.

I had a similar problem, though with a different model of Belkin.
Belkin usually will have an Idle Time (Minute) > setting, which can be found in the WAN setting menu option.
Check your idle time and adjust as needed.

One other problem I had worth mentioning was that I was not able to access certain section of certain websites for eg Yahoo mails 'view email'.
This is sometimes the result of bad MTU settings.
In my case the router defaulted to an MTU value of 1456. I changed that to 1400, which did the trick for me.

I also couldn't get my Belkin USB wireless adapter to work using any directions I found on the internet. Finally, I setup a guest account on my router with lesser security settings and now it works fine. I've spent hours on this issue, so I thought I should post my fix on discussion boards. My USB adapter is old and my router is new, so I think that's the problem (I'm not an expert on wireless networking, but I did get it working this way).

FYI stay the hell away from Belkin products- they're crap.

Compatibility can be one of the issue or their are two ways to sort this kind of problem either make some hit and trial methods like one of them is you can give it a try to other channels or change to some other available options, other service providers.
