HP 952c Printer printing only red

It prints only red, I change it in the word processor to a different color first from automatic black to black prints red then changed to midnight blue printed red. The OS is Windows ME (I know Yuck) but thats what they got. tried to install a new driver right from the HP site and it still does the same thing. Has anyone seen this before? maybe its out of black ink?

Black ink is three quarters full, and we tried another cartridge. Still there is no reason it won't print in other colors besides red........Melchizedek41

sounds like a bum board..new printer.. 952c is photoRET III, i think..been a while

may want to re-instal your software before you go and buy one.

exackery, but I think it's already been done. Updated drivers and all that.
Buy a Canon..... Pixma series are good.
