EVERYBODY, I NEED VALID SUGGESTIONS.

I HAVE HAD PEOPLE/PERSON (I FOUND EVEIDENCE) IN MY HOUSE WHILE I WAS NOT THERE AND I HAVE HAD MY NEIGHBORS SAY THEY HAVE SEEN SOMEONE ON MY BACK PORCH BEFORE MY FAMILY AND I HAD EVEN GOT OUT OF BED.

TONIGHT MY LITTLE BROTHERS ARE STAYING THE NIGHT AND WERE IN MY BASEMENT (I AM AT WORK) PLAYING XBOX WHEN MY ROTT, TYSON STARTED GOING CRAZY AND RAN TO THE FRONT DOOR AND MY BROTHER FOLLOWED AND SAID THERE WAS A GUY AT THE FRONT DOOR JERKING ON THE HANDLE EVEN WITH MY ROTT STANDING THERE. I HAVE CALLED THE COPS, BUT THEY REALLY CANNOT DO ANYTHING UNLESS THEY CATCH THEM IN THE ACT. I AM TRYING TO GET MY 9 BACK FROM A FRIEND I LOANED IT TO, BUT HE WILL NOT CALL ME BACK. I HAVE ACTUALLY CAUGHT PEOPE STAKING OUT MY HOUSE AND RUNNING FROM MY YARD ON A FEW DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, BUT HAVE DECIDED THAT TONIGHT IS THE LASTDRAW. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

OH YEA, MY BROTHER SAID THAT WHEN THE GUY SAW HIM HE RAN TO THE END OF MYDRIVEWAY AND THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSE THERE AS WELL. THEN THEY BOTH TOOK OFF RUNNING.

It was a VALID suggestion!! Here is another.. go to the police station with this issue rather than bring it to the internet unless you plan on throwing porn out your window at whoever.. jeez relax already too!

MAYBE YOU DID NOT READ THE PART WHERE I WROTE I HAVE CALLED THE COPS ... I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND A WIFE, THANK GOD THEY WERE NOT THERE, BUT MY BROTHERS ARE 15 AND 14 SO I AM STILL CONCERNED THAT THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT.

I HAVE A FRIEND THAT I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH THAT WAS IN THE SS AND HE SUGGESTED CAMERS AND LISTENING DEVICES, BUT I TOLD HIM THE TYPE HE WAS TALKING ABOUT WERE PROBABLY VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY EXPENSIVE...

And yes. This is an issue for the police.

I jsut never respond to posts that are all caps. Oops, too late.

Keep the doors locked, teach the kids about 911, talk to all neighbors close by make sure you all know someone is snooping around so that you can all keep a look out.

If you have a computer near the doorway...hook up a webcam and try to catch something on video like that. Maybe hang it out a window facing the door and use a software that has video capture with motion detection.

I know if my life were in danger, SG is the first place I'd turn.

Maybe you can get Maddoc to graze on your lawn for a few nights. You'd have to send the Rotty somewhere else, though - for his own protection.

This is classic.

Option 1: Get some motion detector lights and set up a camera.

Option 2: If you don't have a alarm "borrow" one of those lawn security sign from a neighbor.

Option 3: Bear trap + car battery to door knob. *Not responsible for lawsuit resulting from suggestion.*

Ive shot 90000 different rifles/handguns/shotguns and the SKS is still my absolute favorite weapon. Its the perfect weight, rugged as hell and hits like a sledgehammer.

I agree the are nice weapons. I am waiting on mine to get here. do you have teh original stock or have you swapped it out? Mine is "New, never fired" so it will need bled of the greasey crap. Thinking about getting a new stock while i refinish the original. They really are fun to shoot! Got any pix?

A friend of mine had an SKS. I shot it a few times and never cared for it. I live my AR though.

For the money, SKS is a tough, reliable, and cheap to feed weapon. But, it does have it's limitations. I personally prefer the FAL. .308>*

I love mine ... haven't shot it in quite a while though ... need to break it out and clean it ...

Ive been looking at some .308's as well. I like the m1a but hte price is nuts. The ar-10 is also nice. I think my next rifle will be an ar-15 a3 and then tweak it from there. Thats a nice looking sks. I will shoot some pix of my toys tomorrow, hopefully my sks will be here soon. Right now i just have two ruger pistols (p89 and 22/45) i love both of them! for a 9mm you can't go wrong with the p89!
