Free SF Weapons, depending on rank, without buying SF.

I am not sure if this have been covered here but:
You can get the SF weapons without purchasing the game. In fact you can even get more unlocks.
All you have to do is have someone with SF log on as you and then play a SF map. Then leave, and log ing again. Bam. multi unlocks and SF weapons to pick from.
It works, I did it for one of my friends that could not afford SF.

I am a Gunnery SGT so I got 3 more unlocks. My friend is 2 ranks lower than me. He only got 2 more unlocks.

I just downloded it tonight and I must say I enjoyed it, but I noticed there is no key. My question is, what stops it from being exploited? Does it register your mac address or other hardware? What stops piracy of SF?

Although I have no idea what my rank is..can't be very high..havent played BF2 in over a month or so...longer on any ranked server.
