hmmmm.... He has the money to run, not to sure he has the persona to grab a hold of an audience.

In you opinion what has he done for New York?

Ousted Cuomo!!!!!!! :thumb:

Statewide, crime, economy, job creation and taxes have improved since he's been in office.

I also like the fact that he is fighting to institute Jessica's Law in NYS, if only the ACLU would stop butting in!

I like Pataki overall...though he made some bad blunders..I dont think he can get the support to really win and if the new WTC is not up by then I dont think he has a chance.

You know why..I've said it before. he traded off the Italian mob for the russian mob, helped his wifes company, Waste Management, claiming that the Mob had ties to the Sanitation industry throughout New York and monopolized on it. Meanwhile if you call Waste management and ask for a quote on a 20cu yd container for demolition work they tell you its 600.00 for a couple of days and that you can't mix stuff up. If you call a company with an Italian name you get a price of 246.00 for the same container and no time limit on how long you need it. The same with commerical carting. I pay 38.00 per month with the company with an Italian last name...vs US waste or Waste Management price of almost 100.00. He is a shiester just like the rest of them and he screwed his own kind over to do it. A man I wouldn't trust to run the country.

Edit: also for further proof..Look at the Fulton Fish market and tell me who is running things down there. He pushed the Italians outta there too.

People were hatin on him up until 9-11 where he pushed himself into the limelight. He wouldn't have been the hero that people made him out to be if it weren't for the Police, Firemen, rescue workers that came from all around the country to help in the rescue and recovery operation. It wasn't like he was down there digging with them so I don't see why they made him out to be such a hero.

Having been involved with the state wide logistical planning, I would say Rudy was an exceptional leader. This is not meant to take anything away from those in the trenches, but try to understand the logistics behind an effort as large as this one.

Having been involved with many state wide emergency response efforts under different leader ship, I can honestly say, he ran a tight ship and did an exceptional job.

Now let me clarify this before someone takes this out of context. These statements are not an attempt to define the situational awareness at ground zero. I am refering to the larger city wide/state wide picture.

It doesn't matter what I vote, this state will always go republican.

But I'll still vote, I don't know for who yet, way to early to tell.
