Hi guys! I am new to this forum, but i was looking around for wireless home networking merchandise since i bought a new computer, and i bought these items:
1) Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
2) Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter
Now... I have gotten the network to work, but the problem is that whenever i try to connect to the network from the computer upstairs, its says that the connectivity is too low. When i looked at the status, it had sent 0 packets to the computer. WHY?!?! This has been bugging me, and my only option is to have a wireless network. Can someone tell me what is wrong? Thanks.
Help with new Linksys Wireless G Router!
Your Wireless Antenna is probably stuck between the computer's case and the wall and getting "Puny" signal.
Try first to configure the Wireless at close proximity (put the two computers in the same room).
When its works correctly put the client computer where it belongs and start to working on extending the range.
Range extension is very depending on the environment the following links may provide you with information to decide waht best for specific situation.

Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router
Hi
I bought a Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router. My laptop is Lenovo N3000 and my ISP is NuVision .
I am trying to configure my router, i followed the steps given in the CD that comes up with the Router . But it fails to configure with the error message Error :321 Ethernet cable unplugged (...or something) . I then asked the Linksys customer care , they says that with this Router i need a modem to connect to , but when i asked my ISP , they says that no Modem is required . Also, earlier the Belkin router worked without the modem .
I have checked it variously that the cable has got no problem its just that the router is not picking up .
Can anyone urgently help me out with this ?

You absolutely do need your modem to plug into the WAN/Internet port of the router..that's what bridges the cable or DSL to ethernet for your router.Anshul wrote: but when i asked my ISP , they says that no Modem is required . Also, earlier the Belkin router worked without the modem .
