NEW YORK - Comedy Central star Dave Chappelle has checked himself into a mental health facility in South Africa, the magazine Entertainment Weekly reported on Wednesday

Not that I trust Entertainment Weekly as a reliable news source.

Bummer because it is one of the better shows on right now. I guess it does not affect me since I don't have cable

I truly hope that ugly racist dies.

From what I have seen he gives all races enough **** that I would not really say that he has a hatred for any particular one. Maybe you know/have seen something I have not

I remember watching some sort of Real World skit. There was one white guy, the rest were black. My God, the things they were saying to the white guy, e.g. having bigger penises than him, stealing his white girlfriend, etc. It was just nauseating to watch, and I just rolled my eyes throughout the entire skit. I haven't watched an episode since. He does make fun of his own race, but I can hardly find that justifiable for him to make fun of every other race as well. I think Bill O'Reilly is his ultimate enemy.

I find him funny as heck. (shrugs)

I think hes quite funny, and he isnt racist its all in fun (he makes fun of all races equally from my experience, which I think is healthy and fun to laugh about). The problem I have is I heard he's becoming muslim, or that he has always been but hes now going to go die-hard and all his humor and career would end since this would be seen as "evil". Hope the guy snaps out of it and continues to have fun, sure is a funny guy

Its not meant to be serious though, these are lame stereotypes that he is making fun of BECAUSE of how lame they are.

...Why South Africa ?.....doesn't seem like the best place for a black man to check himself into a hospital ... I wasn't aware their mental health facilities were superior than anywhere else ... seems weird

it's called a comedy show ....I personally thought that it was hilarious, and i'm as white as you can get. crazy ass cracker.....

He makes fun of his own race all the time bro. You need to watch more than one episode LOL

if you can't make fun of your own race, or laugh at jokes geered towards you race made in jest, hide in a hole because you're WAY too seriouse

I hope he gets a full recovery and is able to do another season.

Nope no hoax, they were going to start doing season 3 and then it stopped for unknown reasons at first and then this came out....I have only got to see a few episodes of season1, nothing from season 2

I think I'll rent season 1 this weekend

I heard they're canceling the show, but they have enough taped skits to make 4 new episodes. I hope he gets better.

Also, I saw him live a few months back and he was by far (IMO) the most hilarious stand up I've ever seen (I've also seen Seinfield and Chris Rock). I love his show.

Yeah, but he hasn't made the intros for the skits so it's just all skits.
