blocking in ms antispy help

how can i block a software from putting itself in startup in ms antispy cuz it always allows it and i dont want it to, no answers offtopic please i just want to know how to do it in ms antispy if possible thats all thanks.

Start - run and type msconfig and uncheck it from your start up.

i know but that doesnt work, the program is mcafee, i dont want it to startup but if i run it to scan it rechecks itself in startup so i need something to keep blocking it, hence is why i want to do it in ms antispy but it automatically allows it to run, a block list is what i'm wanting to know if its possible

Oh, McAfee. What part of it are you trying to stop? Antivirus real time protection? Internet Firewall? Antivirus programs have made themselves more difficult to shut down over the past few years...in order to make themselves more resistant to a virus/worm from killing them. Many components run as services now.
Best way to do that is through the control panel of McAfee itself, depending on what part you're trying to shut down.

TOOLS/REAL TIME PROTECTION/APPLICATION AGENT/VIEW APPLICATION AGENT CHECKPOINTS
Click on Start Up Files...you may be able to mess with it there.
