Thats right I am going to miss christmas because I am having all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed (all impacted) plus a fith one in the front of my mouth. Going to buy a case of beer for this event and hopefully be drunk enough (in combination with the pain meds) to not feel any pain. extraction date is dec 22nd at 2:30pm

when are you getting them removed exactly?
mine healed quickly, its almost 2 weeks since i got mine removed i just as normal as can be, had 4 impacted teeth, 2 of them boney extractions
i ate plain tomato soup the first day, the first day is the worse
the second day i was eating soup with stuff in it, like mushroom, chicken, brocoli
the third day i was eating thicker stuff like ravioli
the fourth day i was eating regular food, the 5th day it was like nothing happened
its almost 2 weeks later and i'm eating anything and everything i want
i was cautious the first few days because i didn't want to get dry socket
i never did
i feared it going in, but aftwards it really wasn't that bad, it was very easy
the numbing agent they put in my mouth after the surgeory left my mouth numb for 8 hours after! lol, so i wasn't feeling anything the first day, that was the weirdest part of it, being numb, but there was no pain
i used the pain meds for about 4 days, and really just at night to help me sleep
right now i can feel the holes with my tounge, its completely healed over, very fast

Ah, I see you editted your post, December 22nd eh
well, Dec. 22nd you won't be doing much
but by Dec. 24th, it really won't be that bad, you'll be amazed (if there aren't any complications that is)

he poored this very cold stuff on my hand, which numbed it, then he put the needle in my hand, didn't even feel it, then they started the iv and i was under in 10 seconds
the next thing I knew i was awake in the recovery room with my mouth full of gawze

Do you like your liver? Because your going to miss it when you literally destroy it drinking beer and taking painkillers, seriously. If you get pain pills theres no reason to drink, dont mix them together.

the healing process dont take too long even when you are diabetic, believe me.

3 years ago my dentist removed 7 of my baby teeth all at once and i was ok next day (i still got 3 more and im 26 lol)
you are gonna be ok,believe me

1) Alcohol is not reccomended after teeth extractions.
2) Alcohol is contraindicated with pain killers.
3) Alcohol in any real quantity is not reccomended for diabetics to drink.
Personally, I suggest that you don't celebrate the occassion by drinking huge amounts... teeth out is one thing, killing yourself to celebrate is another...

Had all of mine removed over a Christmas break during college. Don't worry, it's easy, you're not going to miss anything. A little bit of discomfort for the first day or so, some minor bleeding...but you'll live. A couple of days of simply paying attention while you eat.

If I am not mistaken, Christmas is a Day. So to miss Christmas would mean you were going to die before it. You will still have Christmas, just not an enjoyable one.
