I hope the 5 speed autos gearing is better than the 5 speed manual....I have one of those as my work truck. Same engine, same truck except it has the offroad package, so 17" wheels and BIG tires. Needs to be re-gered something fierce. Turns about 2500 rpm at 80 mph, making its passing gears S L O W. Other than that, it has been a wonderful truck. No real problems in 75k miles(door switches act funny sometimes). Just oil every 3000 miles and it seems happy.

Nice truck, but you'll regret not getting the 4.0L and 4x4, IMO.

4x4 is for texans that get 2 snowflakes a year. Up here in the land of ice and snow where people know how to drive its not neccesary and the insurance rates up here kill on 4x4's.
Dont feel like paying $2500 a year for insurance

Ya I like rear wheel drive cars for snow. Cant wait for like a foot of snow, see my floridian neighbor get in his 4x4 pickup and NOT be able to get out of the driveway LOL

The work truck has 4x4 to get at some worksites. Nothing worse than gettin mired up in mud and not havin low range and 4x4. It's a "fleet" type insurance tho, so it's not that bad insurance wise.
